Wayne Barrett Marvin\nSeptember 7, 1946 - October 25, 2021\nWayne Barrett Marvin, 75, of Lobeco, South Carolina, passed into the hands of the Lord on October 25, 2021 at the age of seventy-five.\nGraveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Stokes Cemetery in Hendersonville, SC.\nWayne was born in Beaufort, SC on September 7, 1946, the second-born child of William Ralph Marvin, Sr. and Elise Bryan Marvin. He graduated from Beaufort High School and went to Diesel College in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon graduation Wayne worked for his father at Marvin Transport in Lobeco, SC. Wayne also served in the United States Army as a CH-47 Chinook flight engineer and was a Vietnam War veteran. Wayne worked in many mechanical trades, primarily as a corporate diesel mechanic with Mack Trucks, as an automotive mechanic in many small businesses, worked on the Alaskan Pipeline and also as a maritime machinist in the global shipping industry.\nHe was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, William R. "Sonny" Marvin Jr., Samuel E. Marvin and Russell J. Marvin, and daughter Shannon Marvin Maisano; He is survived by his former wife Theresa Ann Miller; his brothers R. Stephen Marvin, C. Frederic Marvin, Richard E. Marvin, and Roland B. Marvin; son Wayne Barrett Marvin, Jr. (Cole); sister-in-law Suzanne B. Marvin (Stephen); son-in-law Billy Maisano; grandchildren Lauren, Nicole, Katherine, and Will Maisano; Amanda, Emma, and Grant Marvin; Haleigh, Alaina, and Ben Gardner; niece Caroline M. Marvin; nephews E. Reed Marvin, Sr. and S. Christian Marvin; as well as a host of loving cousins.
