Sharon L Bergquist 84 of South Carloina, formally of St. Charles, Il. passed away on September 18th, 2023 at the Cottages of Friends of Carolina Hospice in Ridgeland SC surrounded by family.\n\nSharon was born in Aurora, IL on May 7th 1939 to Earl and Lauretta (Peterson) Holtz. Sharon is a graduate of St. Charles High School.\n\nSharon worked for Northern Illinois Gas, she was also a key punch operator in her home. Sharon ended her working career as a receptionist at Provena Pineview Care Center in St. Charles, Il.\n\nSharon was a loyal member of the St. Charles, Il Moose Lodge #1368 and the Batavia VFW. She was an avid lover of pigs. At one time she had over 500 pig objects in her home. She also loved Pomeranians, which she had 2, EGA and Watson.\n\nSharon is survived by her sister Earlene (Lee) Gomez. Her children, Laura (Phil Carter) Benson, Daniel (Holly) Orland both of St. Charles Il. and Michelle (Andrew McCormack) Russom of Hardeeville SC. 4 step children that she thought of as her own, Robert (Laurie) Bergquist of Humble Tx, Pamela Szweistis, Susan Vanderhyden both of St. Charles Il, and Deborah Warning of Lexington TN. And also 21 Grandchildren and 24 Great Grand Children and many nieces and nephews.\n\nSharon is proceeded in death by her husband Carl Bergquist, her son Gregg A Orland, two grandsons, Andrew Klobertanz and Scott Davis.\n\nService announcement will be posted at a later time.
