Shannon Kennedy Holwadel Obituary (1972 - 2024)

Shannon Kennedy Holwadel, 51, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 10, 2024. Born November 13, 1972, in Columbia, SC, she was the beloved daughter of Edward Peter Kennedy, Jr. and Sharon Quigley Kennedy. Shannon was a proud graduate of The College of Charleston, Class of 1992. Throughout her life, she was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, and loyal friend. Her generous nature and willingness to go above and beyond for those she loved were hallmarks of her character. She loved the beach and was a dedicated Clemson Tigers fan. She also adored her dogs, who were an integral part of her family. Shannon's warm smile and kind heart touched all who knew her. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Edward Peter Kennedy, Sr. and Mary Louise Magarahan Kennedy of Greenville, SC; maternal grandparents Derrill Charles Quigley and Shirley Paul Quigley of Arapahoe, NC; and her brother, Joshua Peter Kennedy of Columbia, SC. Shannon is survived by her loving husband, Stuart Ramsey Holwadel; children Bryce Ramsey Holwadel and Kennedy Stuart Holwadel of Beaufort, SC; parents Edward Peter Kennedy, Jr. and Sharon Quigley Kennedy of Columbia, SC; and brother Terry Lynn Kennedy of Greensboro, NC. A private Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024.
