Rose Ann Floyd Raber, 87, of Beaufort, SC, died Saturday, September 16, 2023 at Friends of Caroline Hospice in Ridgeland, SC.\n\nShe was born in Ridgeland, SC on August 31, 1936, to the late Johnny W. and Eunice Floyd. She graduated from Ridgeland High School in 1954.\n\nRose was an active member of Port Royal Baptist Church where she served as Treasurer and as a Sunday School Teacher for many of years. She served as President of the SC State Business and Professional Women’s Club and held offices within the local Beaufort chapter. In 2006, after 36 years of service, Rose retired from Civil Service at MCRD Parris Island, SC. Rose had a very active life, and she enjoyed spending time with family and friends.\n\nShe is survived by her daughters, Debra Raber Tatro (Kenneth) of Monument, Colorado and Pamela Raber of Beaufort, SC; grandchildren, Elizabeth Tatro Hudgens (Kevin), Mark Tatro (Natasha), Jennifer Wiles, Jenna Raber, and Jay Raber; great grandchildren, Noah Hudgens, Connor Hudgens, and Annika Hudgens; siblings, Mary Morris Malphrus, and Johnny W. Floyd, Jr. (Judy). \n\nRose was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) E. Raber, Captain, USMC (Ret), her sister, Betty Floyd Inman, and grandson, Michael J. Wiles.\n\nThe family will receive friends on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 11:30am at Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, at 1:00pm in Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel with interment in Beaufort National Cemetery.\n\nIn lieu of Flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Friends of Caroline Hospice or Tower2Tower.
