Robert Bowers, Jr.

Robert Francis Bowers, Jr., 63, of Beaufort, SC died Tuesday, October 8, 2024.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 2:30pm at Evergreen Cemetery located at the intersection of Boundary Street and Bladen Street across from the downtown Tennis Courts.

Robert was born on September 22, 1961 in Beaufort, SC. He is the son of Linda Benton Bowers and the late Robert Francis Bowers, Sr.

In many ways Robert had a child-like spirit. He found humor in the small things in life. And, he himself had a quick and clever wit. All who knew him, soon learned how funny and smart he was.

Robert was an avid outdoors man. In younger years, he had been a scuba diver and loved searching for whatever history he could find at the bottom of our low country rivers. In more recent years, he honed his skills as a marksman where he spent every Sunday afternoon shooting targets at the Turkey Shoot.

He retired from Santee Cooper where he shared many stories with friends and family about his work in the field, and the experiences he had with co-workers.

Robert is survived by his mother, Linda, and two sisters, Claudia Bowers, Michelle Bowers and her husband Kelly Burdette.
