Richard E. Daggett, Jr., 72, of Ridgeland, SC, and widower of Anna Miller Daggett, died Sunday, September 24, 2023, at his residence.\n\nThe family will receive friends on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 11:30 a.m. at the Beaufort Church of Nazarene. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at church, with interment in Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors.\n\nMr. Daggett was born in Erie, PA on March 13, 1951. He is the son of the late Richard E. Daggett, Sr. and Marlene E. Daggett.\n\nRichard was a wonderful husband and a loving father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather. He was a hard-working man who provided well for his family. He served nine years in the Army, where he trained as a diesel mechanic and in communication. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He considered it a great honor to be a part of the military family. Richard was a great man and will be dearly missed by all. \n\nPreceded in death by his son, William Daggett, Richard is survived by five sons: Richard Daggett, III, John Daggett, Tony Daggett, Bradley Daggett, and Travis Daggett; two daughters: Carol Estrada and Pamela Knee; four brothers: Jeff Daggett, Dave Daggett, Bruce Daggett and Ted Daggett; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Anderson Funeral Home, P.O.
