Peter P. Cevallos, Sr. Obituary (1933 - 2024)

Peter P. Cevallos, Sr., 91, spouse of the late Maria Carrera Cevallos, died Friday, November 8, 2024 at his residence with his family at his side. Peter was born on June 29, 1933 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. He was the son of the late Nestor Cevallos and Carmen Castro. Peter worked in the magazine and books industry as a distribution representative for over 40 years. He also was heavily involved with youth soccer in Columbia, SC in the 70’s and 80’s, at the time when the sport was just being introduced in the U.S. He was instrumental in coaching and mentoring many of the Midland’s youth in the rapidly developing sport. As the family patriarch, he was constantly sought out for advice and guidance by all that loved him. He is survived by his one daughter, Monica Cevallos-Fulcher (Michael Moravcik); one son, Peter P. Cevallos, Jr. (Laura); one brother, Manuel "Ramon" Mosquera; one sister, Josefina "Pepa" Cevallos; two grandchildren, Stephen Cevallos, and Madison Moravcik Cevallos, and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations can be made to the Humane Association of the Lowcountry (HAL).
