Patricia Sue Musgrave Obituary (1941 - 2024)

Patricia Sue Musgrave, 83, of Beaufort, SC died Monday, October 7, 2024 at MUSC in Charleston, SC. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Peter's Historic Church, 710 Carteret St, Beaufort, SC 29902 on Monday, October 14, 2024 at 11:00am. Ms. Musgrave was born on September 14, 1941 in Wisconsin Rapids, WI. She is the daughter of the late Leonard Bengert and Laura Lipke Bengert. Pat was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was known for her selflessness and dedication to others. Pat was voted most likely to succeed by her high school class of 1959 and received the Miss Citizenship award. She went on to attend college and graduated with honors in Marine Biology. After her children reached school age, she returned to education, earning a Master's degree and embarking on a fulfilling career as a teacher. Over her 30+year career, she touched many lives. Pat's greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren, always eager to make them happy. A devout Catholic, she cherished attending mass and prayer vigils. Pat loved traveling and had many adventures with friends and family. She enjoyed walking around Beaufort, where she often made new friends and adopted new family members. She also enjoyed volunteering her time in the community, including at Beaufort Memorial Hospital, The Holy Trinity Christian School Library, USCB Center for the Arts, and as a community docent. Pat's legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will be remembered by all who knew her. Surviving are one daughter, Lynne Anderson (Matt) and one son Gregory Musgrave (Heather); three sisters, Laurel Butterfield, Susan McNabb and Karen Ammons; four grandchildren Austin Casey (Gabrielle) Lyndsay Musgrave, Hayley Musgrave, Abby Anderson; and daughter-in-law: Amanda Musgrave. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to HELP of Beaufort, 502 Charles St., Beaufort SC 29902
