Patricia Ann Kiley-Walker Obituary (1933

Patricia Ann Kiley-Walker, 87, of St. Helena Island died Sunday July 11, 2021 at her residence. She was born at home October 20, 1933 in Mechanicville, NY, the daughter of J. Raymond Kiley and Bernice Rishel Kiley. She was the wife of the late Donald B. Walker. She graduated from Mechanicville HS and worked as a secretary in advanced degree personnel at General Electric Co., Schenectady, NY. She graduated from the College of St. Rose, Albany, NY and went on to obtain a Master of Early Education from SUNY. She taught in the Gloversville School District until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of Memorial Baptist Church of Mechanicville where she sang in the church choir, taught Sunday School, was a youth counselor and served on many committees. After moving to SC, she volunteered at St. Helena Elementary School and Heroes on Horseback then LOVE for Therapeutic Riding. She enjoyed a very happy married life of 59 years with her loving husband Don and together they enjoyed sailing, skiing, hiking, swimming, music and reading. She is survived by her son Christopher (Kathy), grandson Tyler (Lacy), great granddaughters Braylee, Riley and Piper all of St. Helena. She was preceded in death by sisters Mary Kiley Brenner, Irene Kiley Reeb and Carolyn Jane Kiley McCoy and her great grandson Owen Donald Walker. A grave side service will be held Thursday July 29, 2021 at 1 PM at Beaufort National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Friends if Caroline Hospice, 1110 13th Street, Port Royal, SC 29935.
