Nicholas Carroll Myers, Jr Obituary (1947

Nicholas Carroll Myers, Jr. - Nick passed away quietly at home on the morning of Friday, April 27, 2012. Nick was the son of Gerry Edwards Giles and the late Nicholas Carroll Myers, Sr. Nick moved to Beaufort at the age of seven from Pamplico, SC. He graduated from Beaufort High School in 1966 and served in the SC National Guard before a long and fulfilling career in sales. Nick was known for his friendly and outgoing personality. His travels during his career gave him the opportunity to make countless friends in SC and beyond. His interests included classic cars, farming, Atlanta Braves baseball, western movies and storytelling. And his friends know he could tell a good story! Nick is predeceased by his wife of 24 years and mother of his daughters, E. Anne Pittillo Myers and his stepfather, Richard M. Giles. He is survived by his mother, Gerry E. Giles of Beaufort, SC; wife, Marti Myers; daughters: Barbara I. Morales (David)of Beaufort, SC; Karen N. Myers-Sarnoski (Steve) of Stonington, CT and Heather A. Burner (Tyler) of Pawcatuck, CT; seven grandchildren: Corrin and Kaiden Burner; Gabriella, Isaac and Joshua Nicholas Morales; and Alden Sarnoski and his baby brother (due to arrive in July); sister, Lillian M. Bliss (Lonnie); stepbrother, Dr. Richard F. Giles (Mary Jo). He is also survived by niece Carole Herring (Robbie), nephews Chris Bliss and Ret Giles and many aunts, uncles and close friends. The family will be receiving friends from 5-7PM on Monday, April 30, 2012 at Anderson Funeral Home. Services will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 11:00 AM at First Christian Church with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
