Muriel Lynnette "Lynn" Meed Obituary (1959 - 2024)

Muriel Lynnette Meed, 65, of Port Royal, SC, died Sunday, November 3, 2024 at her residence. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 2-4 pm at Anderson Funeral Home. Lynn was born on July 22, 1959 in Hollywood, FL and raised in Triangle, Virginia. She is the daughter of the late Kenneth Ross Snyder and Ollie Jean Rutherford. Lynn was a loving Mother, sister, wife, aunt, and friend. She worked her entire adult life, creating a legacy of hard work and determination that continues to live on through her children and grandchildren. She was an avid gardener, creating beautiful gardens wherever she lived, and sharing her gift with any who wished to learn about it. She also loved knitting, crocheting, cooking, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished her grandchildren who lovingly called her "Mamaw". She had a great love of music, racing, and games something she also shared with her children. Some referred to her as the "Mouth of the South" in which was a well earned title in the state of South Carolina. Surviving are three sons, John (Ann), Justin, and Jeremy Meed; one daughter, Jennifer Vinson(Chad)and one adopted daughter, Elizabeth Beliveau (Michael); three brothers, Pat (Theresa), Johnny, and Keith Snyder; two sisters, Roxanna (John) Collins and Kathy Snyder. As well as seven grandchildren, Kathryn, Dustin, John Ross, Scarlet, Alice, Anthony, and Marshall. She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Snyder and Ollie Rutherford, sister, Cindy Stoekert; Husband of 37 years Randy Meed, and Granddaugther Adeline Maseman.
