Milbrey Anne Gnann Obituary (1969

Milbrey Anne Gnann, 43, of Beaufort and wife of Walter Nicholas Gnann, Jr. died Thursday, December 13, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Gnann born June 17, 1969 in Ancon Canal Zone, Panama, educated in Australia and several states. She was a graduate of Mid-Carolina High School, Prosperity, SC, Clemson University School of Nursing and a Captain in the USAF. In addition to her husband, Milbrey is survived by two sons; Walter Nicholas Gnann,III, and Thomas Pinckney Gnann; her parents Lt.Col Thomas Lyles Crooks, Jr. (USAF/Ret) and Brenda Graham Crooks; grandfather Carl Alexander Kyzer; a brother, Brian Lyles Crooks (Julie); sister Tammy Lee Finley (Paul); a brother-in-law William Pritchard Gnann (Dessilava); and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Milbrey was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and a nurse at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. She was active in several community organizations and charitable activities. Visitation will be at St. Peter's Catholic Church Saturday, December 15, 1-2 p.m.; a Memorial Mass 2 p.m. followed by burial with military honors in Pinckney Family Cemetery, Pinckney Colony, Calhoun Plantation, Bluffton, SC. Relatives and friends are invited to a reception at the Beaufort Yacht and Sailing Club, 5:30-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. Peter's Church, 70 Lady's Island Dr, Beaufort, SC 29907 or St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, 415 St. Matthews Rd, Pomaria, SC 29126.
