MGYSGT Raymond Poindexter Sr. Obituary (1934 - 2021)

MGYSGT Raymond Bryan Poindexter, Sr., USMC, Retired, 86, died Sunday, June 20, 2021 at his residence. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 2:00pm in Beaufort National Cemetery with full military honors and Masonic Rites. Mr. Poindexter was born on August 9, 1934 in Chattanooga, TN. He is the son of the late John Robert Poindexter and Clara Spivey Poindexter. Surviving are his wife, Betty Hunkapiller Poindexter; one son, Raymond Bryan Poindexter, Jr. and one daughter, Rhonda Francese; one sister, Sue Hughes; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Scottish Rite children's hospital
