Mary June Neshat Obituary (1944 - 2025) - Harbor Island, South Carolina

Mary June Bibart Neshat, 81, of Harbor Island, South Carolina, passed away peacefully and entered the presence of her Lord in the early morning of Monday, December 8, 2025. Mary June was born on February 7, 1944, in Newark, Ohio, and was a graduate of Logan Hills High School (1962). She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) from Saint Rita’s Nursing School in Lima, Ohio, a profession through which she touched countless lives. She retired from Mecklenburg Medical Group in 2016, where she served for many years as a triage nurse after having extensive experience in the ER, orthopedics, and as the intake nurse at the Mecklenburg County Jail. She was widely known for her kindness, gentle “bedside manner,” and her ability to form genuine relationships with coworkers and patients alike. Her colleagues often remarked that she brought warmth, comfort, and calm to the workplace simply by being present. She was preceded in death by her parents, George Harry Bibart and Genevieve June Proctor Bibart, of Charlotte, NC and her brother, Robert Bruce Bibart of Zanesfield, OH. She is survived by her brother, Dr. Charles Bibart of Kalamazoo, MI and wife Kathy, her sister-in-law Rebecca Bibart, her three children Jennie (Tony) Brown, Harbor Island, SC, Shahene (Lisa) Neshat, Lexington, NC – Dr. Maz (Lori) Neshat, Indian Trail, NC and eleven grandchildren, Justin (Katherine) Engel, Charlotte, NC, Hailey (Nicholas) Dolan, Lady’s Island, SC, Thomas (Nicolette) Neshat, Austin, TX, Brittney Neshat, St. Petersburg, FL, Brandon Neshat, Miami, FL, Harli Neshat and fiancé Rafael Rodriguez, Belmont, NC, Jacob Neshat, Tulsa, OK, Tyler Rhodes, Indian Trail, NC, Trace Neshat, Tulsa, OK, Jackson Rhodes, Indian Trail, NC, Colby Rhodes, Indian Trail, NC, her great grandchildren Eleanor and Benjamin Dolan, as well as her beloved dog, Dottie Darling. Mary June was a faithful follower of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a devoted homemaker and a warrior for her family, delighting in cooking, sewing, and sharing time with her loved ones. She was always happy and young at heart, she embraced life with a perpetual zest, finding joy in reading, gardening, and the beauty of God’s creation. Her laughter, humor, and steady love brightened countless lives. Her favorite moments were simple yet cherished—Taco Bell runs, days taking golf cart rides around the island and beach, good music, and conversations filled with laughter. She always dreamed of dancing and skipping again, and her family takes comfort knowing she surely skipped and danced her way into Heaven.
