Mary Lou Mixon Willard passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014. Mary Lou was born on February 28, 1927 in Early Branch, SC. She was married to James F. Willard for 39 years. She retired from Civil Service work on Parris Island after 38 years. She is survived by her husband; 2 daughters, Belinda C. Barker of Beaufort, SC; Tara L.Mattox of Bluffton, SC; one son, Jed Colbert of Beaufort, SC; 3 grandchildren, Jarret E. Chassereau of Lexington, SC; Tray C. Mattox of Bluffton, SC; and Lacy M. Mattox of Bluffton, SC; and on great-grandson, Colin R. Chassereau, of Lexington, SC. The service will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to CAPA where Mary Lou volunteered for many years..
