Mary (Marion) Sharkey Dittman passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. She was born August 13, 1927 in Tibohine, Ireland, one of nine children. She came to America in 1948, married Gordon Dittman in 1952 and raised six children in West Orange. Through the years, she was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes in West Orange, NJ, St. Veronica's in Howell, NJ and St. Aloysius in Jackson, NJ. She recently moved to Beaufort, SC to live with her daughter Sally Moona and her family, and was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church.\n\nShe is predeceased by five brothers Vincent, Alfie, Patrick, Noel and Ted and her two sisters Una and Kathleen. She is survived by her loving husband Gordon; her six children Sally Ann Moona and her husband, Caesar; Patricia Riegler and her husband Lou; John Dittman; Diane Foley and her husband Kurt; Tom Dittman and Dan Dittman; one brother, Dermot Sharkey; and eight grandchildren Donnie Moona, Monique Moona, Thomas Moona, Marshall Moona, Meghan Foley, Spencer Foley, Mark Dittman and Lisa Dittman.\n\nA visitation will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:30 pm at St. Peter's Catholic Church with rosary at 2:15 pm. \n\nA funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 3:00 pm at St. Peter's Catholic Church.\n\nIn lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Boys Town at www.boystown.org or Covenant House at www.covenanthouse.org.
