Leigh Marie Smith Woods of Beaufort, SC passed away early Sunday morning, March 20, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She is once again reunited with her sweet eternal husband Vernon.\n\nBorn in Richlands, VA on January 14, 1943 to Pearl Mae and Frank Kelley Smith.\nLeigh grew up in Virginia alongside her siblings Kelley Jr., Nadine, Mary, Patsy, and Donald.\nAs a middle child, Leigh was always independent and athletic. She loved spending time working in the garden, being out in the woods, and especially enjoyed chopping down and decorating the family's Christmas tree.\nShortly after graduating college, she began her real estate career in Atlanta, GA.\nIn 1976, she married her sweetheart, Vernon Woods, and together furthered their passion for real estate, leading to the creation of Woods Deseret Realty and serving the Lowcountry for over 40 years.\nA devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she served in many capacities, having a great impact on missionary work and sharing the Gospel at every opportunity.\nLeigh was preceded in death by her adoring eternal husband Vernon, sisters Mary Harding, Nadine Casey and brother Kelley Junior Smith. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by her children: son Jason (Heather), and their children; Tristen, Samantha, and Marissa; son Jonathan; daughter Rebekkah Miranda (Rodrigo), son Brantley; daughter Rachel Disbrow (Brandon) and their children Emma, Hunter, and Harrison.\nLeigh's most recent delight, was her first great grandchild, Lukka Callis Miranda.\nLeigh is survived by her sister Patsy (Daryl) Spicer, brother Donald (Juan) Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.\n \nFuneral arrangements are as follows:\nVISITATION: Public - All invited.
