Larry Lee Padgett Obituary (2022) - Beaufort, South Carolina

Larry Lee Padgett, 74, of Beaufort, SC, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022, surrounded by family at Ashley Gardens Alzheimer's Special Care Center in Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Anderson Funeral Home from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM, with a Memorial Service beginning at 4:00 p.m. Larry was born in Beaufort on July 13, 1947. The son of the late Henry Ralph and Lee Dell (Hall) Padgett, he graduated from Beaufort High in 1965 and was a successful business owner for over forty years. Larry was an avid golfer, fisherman, and talented musician with an unmatched love for music and playing the guitar. He shared his passion for music with his relatives and friends, performing Country and Rock & Roll for them on many occasions. He was always the life of the party, and will be dearly missed by those who knew him. Larry is survived by his wife: Joan Fordham Padgett; daughter: Sommer (Scott Kirk) Brown; stepdaughters; Elizabeth (Chris) Render and Caroline (Stephen) Smith; 13 grandchildren; and sister: Brenda (Tim) Pearce. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
