On April 21st 2021, my beautiful wife, Kourtney, passed away in her home peacefully. Kourtney was born October 6, 1989 in Sayre PA, the daughter of Kenneth and Cindy (Brown) Frisbie, she later married Thomas Chausse, Jr on 15 August 2014 in Beaufort Sc.
For the past 6 years 8 months and 6 days that we have been married, Kourtney has been my pride and joy. If you have not truly gotten to know her, let me tell you our story. I was in Japan when Kourtney and I met. We met on Plenty of Fish. Eventually we traded Skype and that's where it all started. Most relationships I feel always start with a physical attraction, but being overseas it was built on our conversations. After a long month or so I came home and she was waiting for me as if we were together for "yearzz" as Kourtney would always say. It was like we already knew each other for a long time. Fast forward a few months and it was Mr. and Mrs. Chausse.
Kourtney's health was always been a topic that was hard for us to avoid. We were coming to the conclusion that we wouldn't be able to have children because we thought her body couldn't handle it. With all the medical trauma we thought it would be best that she has a hysterectomy. She was about to be wheeled to have a hysterectomy when we found out she was pregnant with Gabby. Literally our miracle child. Gabriella was the greatest gift from God that could have been blessed upon Kourtney and I. She loved her even in the middle of what she was going through.
Kourtney has struggled with anxiety, Cystic Fibrosis, and Medical trauma since she was a little girl but, she still did what she could to bring the light in all of us and this is what made her so special. Regardless of what was going on, she would always try and please people even if it was wearing her out. She really did too. She really had a way of hiding her illness and the stress that she was in and lived the best life she could with everything going on so others would not suffer from her illness.
Kourtney loved to go to the beach, boating, movies, dinner dates, and many more. Kourtney has accomplished so much in such a short life, but just looking back at all the photos and social media post that she has, her family was her biggest accomplishment. She cared so much for her family regardless of her health. She has built a family that God would be proud of and was the true leader of this family.
Kourtney you will forever be the rock that holds me together. No matter what was going on you would always defend me in any argument that would come up. You were always trying to please me and what hurts the most is you would continue to love me through sickness and health even as hard as it was for you. These were our vows. Kourtney my love, you stood up to your promise and vows and I will always cherish your love. I will try my hardest to be a great father to our daughter and try to live up to the standard you set as a mother. Gabriella loves you so much and I see her sweet compassion in her that you had. Please look over us and be our guardian angel and help guide us through the spirit of God.
Words cannot explain the pain and fear I feel and the challenges that I face. Words cannot express the love I have for you. I know living was really hard for you and your now in a better place. No more anxiety, no more lung infections, no more hospitals. You shall rest with the lord. You have made me the happiest man, husband, and father I could ever ask for. l will pray the hardest prayer for me to say and will continue to pray every night with Gabby.
Now we lay me down to sleep
I pray the lord my soul to keep
If you I die be for I wake
I pray the lord my soul to take
Thank you, Jesus, for our family, our friends, and our health.
Pray for a good night sleep tonight
And
A GREAT DAY TOMORROW.
Kourtney rest in peace. When the lord says my time is up. I will lay right beside you.
