JUNE DALESSANDRO GREEN (1943-2014) June passed away peacefully at Colleton County Medical Hospital during the early morning hours of Oct 22, 2014 at the age of 71. The family will receive friends Monday October 27, 2014 from 10-11:30 AM at Anderson Funeral Home followed by a graveside service at noon at Beaufort National Cemetery with full Marine Honors. June is survived by her four loving children, William Green III, Michael Green, Linda Green and Bryan Green. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren and one recently born great granddaughter. June was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 1, 1943. After graduating from a small community college in Detroit, she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. She attended basic training at Parris Island, S.C., and was later transferred to Quantico, Va. where she worked in personnel administration. She was honorably discharged in 1961. June lived in and travelled to several countries (El Salvador, Trinidad, Puerto Rico) and numerous geographical locations throughout the U.S (Michigan, California, Nebraska, Rhode Island and South Carolina). June worked for the Navy Exchange at the U.S. Naval Hospital, Beaufort, S. C. for thirty years. She was an avid bowling enthusiast, and belonged to various mixed and women's leagues throughout her travels, and was recipient of many trophies and other awards. She was also very supportive as a little league Mom for all three of her sons and daughter throughout Grammar School, and High School. June had an overwhelming personality and coupled with a great sense of humor, which were traits admired by all her friends and acquaintances. She had a heart as big as all outdoors, and adored her children and grandchildren. Although she's physically no longer with us, her presence and the memories left behind will live on forever.
