Juanita McKay "Nita" Gray - widow of Allen Thomas "Tommy" Gray, 88, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed from this life Monday, November 18, 2019, at her daughter's residence. Nita was born March 18, 1931 in Vidalia, GA, daughter of the late William Thomas McKay and Effie Lou Hester McKay.\nNita was a member of the Community Bible Church, Beaufort, SC and was a loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend. She enjoyed family, friends, cooking, baking and crocheting. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Judy Gray Pinkston. Survivors include her daughter Pamela Thompson and her husband Steve of Lady's Island, sister Barbara McKay Wilson and Willie of Bamberg, SC, three grandchildren Jeffrey Thompson and his wife Meagan and their daughters Aeryn, McKenzie and Camryn, Lt. Col. Eric Thompson and his wife Paige and their children, Rebecca and Adam, Heidi Robinson and husband Stephen and son Aiden of Liberty, SC\nThe family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 10:00am at Anderson Funeral Home.\nFuneral services to follow at 11:30am on Tuesday in Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel with interment in Beaufort National Cemetery. Dr. Carl Broggi of Community Bible Church, Beaufort, SC will officiate.\nFamily will receive family and friends after the interment at Mrs. Gray's home at 2812 Riverbank Drive.\n The family would like to extend a special thanks to Friends of Caroline, 1110 13th Street, Port Royal, SC, 29935 and especially to Olivia and Sarah.
