Jessie M. "Buddy" Gurganious, Jr. Obituary (1944 - 2024)

"Buddy" Jessie M. Gurganious 1944-2024 Buddy was born to Jessie "Gur" Gurganious, Sr. and Mary Hubbard Gurganious on June 28,1944 in Jacksonville, Florida. He passed away on December 19,2024 at the age of 80. He will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth "Shine" Gurganious. He is survived by his stepdaughter Gloria J. Stanfield (Jenny) stepson Allen Stanfield (Sandy) brother Tony Gurganious (Deloris) and numerous nieces and nephew. Buddy graduated from Beaufort High School, served in the National Guard and later retired as a Staff Sargent from the Beaufort County Sherrif's department after 30 years of service. Buddy was a super fan of Dale Earnhardt. His hobbies were Nascar, watching Braves baseball and restoring small yard statues. He spent his last years with his companion, Gail Fryman, enjoying life. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 27, 2024 at 11:00am at Anderson Funeral Home with a Chapel service to follow on Friday at 12:00 noon with burial in St. Luke's Cemetery in Bluffton, SC.
