Jerrie Ann Pressley Pearce, age 86, of Bluff City, TN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at her residence. She was born August 12, 1937, in Cabarrus County, NC, to the late Augusta Monroe Pressley and Lillian Canupp Pressley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Benny A. Pearce, brother, Donald Eugene Pressley, and daughter, Pamela Hansil Donnelly.\n\nJerrie was a former real estate professional in Beaufort, SC. After she retired, she enjoyed working with her plants and watching them grow. She loved making silk flower arrangements and loving her animals, which she referred to as her babies.\n\nJerrie was lively and active. She could be seen dancing when music played and was often called “Mustang Sally,” one of her favorite songs. She could sing beautifully as well.\n\nThose left to cherish Jerrie’s memory are her children, Angela Hansil Bain (husband Michael Bain), of Bluff City, TN; Jatana Hansil Norris (husband Malcolm Lynn Norris), of Shady Valley, TN; Candice Hansil Chappell of Beaufort, SC, Todd Pearce (wife Monica) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren Lee Merrill (wife Andrea) of West Columbia, SC; Sarah Donnelly Barnes (husband Bruce), Christopher Donnelly, of Pinellas Park, FL, Brad Welsh and Logan Chappell of Beaufort, John Norris of Columbia, SC and Jim Norris (wife Jessica) of Fort Mill, SC, Brandon and Cassidy Pearce of Virginia Beach, VA.\n\nShe is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Gavin Merrill, Alyssa Merrill, Jillian and Lilly Barnes, and Layne Elizabeth Welsh.\n\nShe also wanted to recognize William Hansil (wife Karen, son Wyatt) as a special person she thought of as an adopted son.\n\nA Celebration of Jerrie's Life will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Anderson Funeral Home, Beaufort, SC, with Chaplain Mike Brainerd officiating. The family will receive friends between 10:00 AM and 11:00 AM before the service on Friday.
