Saint Helena Island, South Carolina

Jennifer Wright, 71 of Beaufort, SC passed peacefully, New Years 2025.

Please join us with a request that you wear your brightest clothes in celebration of her colorful, creative spirit and her ability to see all of life’s beauty.

Visitation will be held at Anderson Funeral Home 611 Robert Smalls Pkwy, Beaufort, SC 29906 on Friday, January 17th, 2025 at 2:00 PM. A Memorial Service will follow beginning at 2:30 PM.

The service will be ministered by her dear friends, Peggy Schilling and Susan Stone.

Jennifer was born on October 5, 1953, in Johnson City, TN, the daughter of the late Lewis and Helen (Maricle) Blevins. She spent part of her youth in Hawaii then enjoyed the remainder of her life in beautiful Beaufort, South Carolina.

Born as a free spirit, she lived her own life, created her own beat, and traveled down her own wayward path. She embraced the beauty of nature and had the ability to see the good in others and all of life. She never judged others, but instead extended her heart and her hand with empathy, always willing to put anyone in need above herself. During her hardships she would say, “don’t be sad for me, but for others because I'll be okay”. She’d tell you not to complain about gloomy skies because the earth needs the rain and soon the sun will shine.

In the end, she gave all of herself and her heavy heart was too much to bear. Although her final days were filled with pain her heart was at peace and she grateful. Grateful for the blue sky and her magnificent, live oaks draped in Spanish moss, and grateful for all the blessings bestowed upon us. Her family takes solace in knowing her final moments were in the comfort of her home that she so artistically created, loved and entertained; exactly where she wanted to be.

Jennifer will always be remembered by her creative spirit, empathy for others and her sound healing.

Jennifer is survived by her children: Angela Draa (spouse: Michael Draa), Charity Schwartz, and Michael Blevins; her beloved grandchildren; Chelsea Rasmussen, Caiden Blevins, Ethan Blevins and Sophia Blevins; her sister Dorothy Hart (spouse: Terry Hart), brother Jeff Shelton along with those she mommed: Mann, Monique and Brittany as well as their children who she loved dearly.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Jennifer’s memory to CAPA, www.capabeaufort.org.

We are so proud of who you became, Mom. We love you more than you know and will miss and yearn for your kind face, sweet voice and the comfort of you being our mom.

Love,
Angela, Charity and Michael
