James Joseph Landry 58, of Rincon, GA and formerly of Beaufort, SC and Ft. Walton Beach, FL passed away Thursday, September 9th, 2021, following a longtime battle with his health. His wife, Lori Landry of Fairport, NY, and his father Claude and brother David both of Ft Walton Beach, FL precede him in death.\nJames loved those in his life deeply and always put the needs of others ahead of his own. He began his career in the Air Force where he served for 10 years. After retiring from active duty, he became an aerospace engineer at Gulfstream Aerospace, where he worked for 25 years. He found happiness in golfing, traveling, grilling and spending time with those he loved. He was also a die-hard lifelong fan of Florida State Seminoles football.\nThe world is truly a lesser place without Jim Landry, and all who knew him will sorely miss him.\nHe is survived by his children Matthew (Lauren), Samantha (Justin), his former spouse/mother of his children Brenda Landry, grandchildren Ellie, Hayden, Destiny Rose, Carsyn, Hunter, Taylor, Charleigh, and Leo, his mother Barbara Landry, sisters Patsy Landry (nieces Holly and Sarah) and Kathy Brittingham (Jason) (niece Gina and nephew Michael).\nHonors will be held at The National Cemetery in Beaufort, SC on Wednesday, September 29th at 1pm.
