Harry Ammon, CWO-2, USMC, (Ret.), 84, of Beaufort, died Wednesday January 16, 2019 at his residence after a two-year valiant battle with cancer.\n A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday January 23, 2019 at 1 P.M. at Carl W. Anderson Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12 - 1 PM prior to the service. Interment will follow in Beaufort National Cemetery with Marine Corps honors.\n Harry was a member of Port Royal United Methodist Church, Lions Club, American Legion and Literacy Volunteers of the LowCountry. He was an instructor for the driver safety course and was the Director of Facilities for the Sachem School District and was a plumber.\n He is survived by Mary his wife of 63 years; his sons Eric and Harry and his daughter Judith and his grandchildren.
