Gregory Catoe

Gregory "Greg" Stuart Catoe, 72, of Camden, SC, formerly of Beaufort, SC, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson, SC.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM. Guests attending the graveside services should arrive at the cemetery no later than 10:45 AM.

Gregory was born on July 13, 1953, in Pennington, South Dakota, the son of the late Charles "Mac" Malcolm and Willa Mae (Lilly) Catoe. He later married Margie Marie Sumpter on April 20, 1986, in Sumter, South Carolina. He proudly served in the United States Airforce from 1972 to 1976. After his service in the military Greg went into automobile sales. Greg also served as a Deacon at the Riverview Baptist Church in Beaufort, South Carolina. Greg enjoyed a life filled with spending time with his wife, his dog Bam-Bam, cooking, being the best Santa-Claus at Christmas, and telling great jokes.

Survivors include his wife: Margie Marie Catoe of Camden, SC; children: Lori Denise Taylor, step children Victor Allen Hall IV, Sheryll Lynn Burke; grandchildren: Allison (Shaquille) Vaughan, Kailyn (Ryan) McBride, Megan (Sam) Ross, Jonathan (Sabrina) Taylor, Austin Taylor, Shelby Brodeur, Sara (Parker) Molden; step grandchildren; Zura Burke, Zachary Burke; great grandchildren: Josiah Vaughan, Milo Vaughan, Elias Vaughan, Isabella Taylor, Jameson McBride, Hayden Brodeur; sister: Karen C. Shipman; pre-deceased sister Angela F. Post; and pre-deceased child Dennis (Kelley) Catoe.
