Gae Louise Eisaman February 29, 1940 - October 18, 2017 Gae L. Eisaman (77) died peacefully in her home October 18, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert "Bob" Eisaman, who died June 2016. She is survived by her daughters Karen Eisaman and Elizabeth Morra (David), granddaughters Cameron and Sloane Morra, who were the light of her life, sister Jan Reh (Mike), brother Kim Ponto (Sue), and many nieces and nephews. Gae was born in 1940 in Fremont, Michigan to Hilton and Beatrice "Boeskool" Ponto and graduated from Plymouth High School (Class of '58). She met Bob, while working in Green Lake, WI and married December 27, 1963. Shortly afterward, Bob and Gae were deployed to Wurzburg, Germany where Bob served in the U.S. Army. After raising her two daughters in Roswell, Georgia, Gae earned her nursing degree at age 50. She then worked as a nurse in the Atlanta area for many years, before she and Bob retired and moved to Bluffton, SC. Gae was an amazing mother, wife, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She will always be remembered for her big smile, caring heart, funny sense of humor and general love of life. She will forever live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. Gae spent the last six years of her life bravely fighting Corticobasal Degeneration (CBD), a rare, debilitating neurological disease for which there is no cure or treatment.
