Frank Anthony Nocilla, 73, of Beaufort, SC, died Friday, June 18, 2021 at his residence.\nMr. Nocilla was born on November 24, 1947 in Newburgh, NY. He is the son of the late Louis Nocilla and Mary Zambito Nocilla.\nFrank taught history for 33 years in the Newburgh, NY School District. Additionally, he owned and operated Complete Pool Service for many years. After moving to Beaufort, SC in 2003, Frank was an active volunteer with Meals on Wheels and the United Way.\nHe was also a member of the Olde Beaufort Golf Club and played regularly with his close friends.\nFrank was an active, kind, friendly and generous man, who was community-minded and was known for helping others in need. He will be sorely missed by his family, friends and acquaintances.\nSurviving is his wife, Caroline C. Nocilla; two sons, Michael (Nicole) Nocilla and Thomas (Marzena) Nocilla; four grandchildren, Kelsey, Kyla, Adam and Olivia; and one sister, Fran Bakker (Rich); along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.\nFuneral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 11:30am at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Lady's Island.\nIn lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either the United Way or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
