Frances Evelyn Thomas Webb, 88, of 526 Saint Andrews Boulevard, Charleston South Carolina, went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2022. She passed away at the Roper Hospice Cottage, Charleston, South Carolina. She was predeceased by her husband, Andy Joe Webb, on May 13, 2005.\nFrances was born on March 14, 1934, in Frogmore, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Cameron Dexter Thomas, Sr., and Flora (Florrie) Martha Richardson Thomas.\nSurviving are her beloved daughter Peggy Jo Webb Grantham and son-in-law, Daniel (Danny) N. Grantham of the home; brother: Richard Donald (Donnie) Thomas (Nancy K. Thomas) of Lady's Island, South Carolina; sister-in-law, Sylvia Lane Russ Thomas of Beaufort, South Carolina; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.\nFrances attended Beaufort High School in Beaufort, South Carolina. Her hobbies included working in her yard and cooking. She was an excellent southern cook and incorporated many delicious recipes obtained during her travels as a military wife. She was a supportive military wife to Chief Hospital Corpsman (HMC) Andy Joe Webb, United States Navy, during his 20 years of service, and during his pursuit of a degree from the Medical University of South Carolina School of Pharmacy, in Charleston, South Carolina.\nFrances was a loving caregiver to her daughter, Martha Evelyn Webb; mother, Florrie Thomas; and aunt, Agnes Richardson Thomas, during their declining health and ultimate passings. She loved her family, as well as her extended family members; all who had a special place in her heart.\nShe was preceded in death by the following family members: her parents, Cameron Dexter Thomas, Sr. and Flora (Florrie) Martha Richardson Thomas; her husband, Andy Joe Webb of Charleston, South Carolina; her daughter, Martha Evelyn Webb of Charleston, South Carolina; four sisters: Virginia Anne Thomas Hargrove (Vernon Booth Hargrove) of Augusta, Georgia; Phyllis Eugenia Thomas Dougherty of Beaufort, South Carolina; Patricia Ann Thomas Russ Stearns (William [Bill] Joseph Stearns) of Saint Helena Island, South Carolina; and Rosemary Thomas (Stillborn) of Saint Helena Island, South Carolina; two brothers: Cameron Dexter Thomas, Jr. of Beaufort, South Carolina; and James "Fluffy" Aldebert Thomas of Saint Helena Island, South Carolina; brother-in-laws: Gene Wayne Russ of Saint Helena, South Carolina; and Daniel (Dan) David Dougherty of Savannah, Georgia; and nephews: William (Butch) Cameron Dougherty of Hardeeville, South Carolina; and, David (Doc) Daniel Dougherty of Winterhaven, Florida.\nThe Family will receive friends and family at Anderson Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.\nFuneral Services will be held in the Anderson Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 9:30 a.m., with Dr. Allan H. Kircher officiating. Interment will follow at the Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, Beaufort, South Carolina.
