Eulalia Hester Bazemore, (Mickey ) 89 of Beaufort, SC died peacefully on March 1, 2012 at River Oaks Senior Care. Born on February 16, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Mary Viola Hendricks and Theron Earle Hester of Pickens, SC. She attended Furman University for 2 years, moved to Beaufort to live with her Aunt Irma Morris on the old Point. She fell in love with Beaufort and never left. She worked briefly at the Beaufort Marine Corp Air Station, secretary for the First Presbyterian Church and for Eugene DuPont for the Federal Wildlife Federation. She never met a stranger and was a friend to many. She loved to play bridge, go to good parties and laugh. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Emerson Bazemore and her sister, Theryl Hester Peek. She is survived by her son, Fred Emerson Bazemore, Jr. of Beaufort, SC and his wife, Linda and their two sons, Adam and Nicholas and their granddaughter, Allie; her daughter, Ann Bazemore Finke of Cramerton, NC, and her husband, Richard and their two children, Erin and Harrison. She is also, survived by her brother Theron E.Herb Hester, Jr. of Columbia, SC. A special thanks to the staff at River Oaks Senior Care and Sanctuary Hospice (in particular, Francis and Ronnie) for the exceptional care they gave our mother. The family will have a private family service at a later date. The family requests no flowers and ask that any memorials be made to a charity of your choice or perform a act of kindness to someone in need.
