Ms. Faught was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Doris Gardner; an infant sibling, Francis Gardner; her husband, Alfred Eugene Faught, Sr., USMC; and her companion of 23 years, Robert Patric Long.

Elizabeth was born in Hampton, South Carolina, on October 29, 1940. She grew up in Hampton and graduated from Wade Hampton High School. She later went to school in Tallahassee, Florida, and became an employee of the Board of Education of the State of Florida in the teacher certification department for three years. In her retirement years, she enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, and helping with her granddaughter and great-grandsons. She loved growing pretty plants, cooking fun recipes, shopping and thrifting, and crafting. She enjoyed spending time with her sisters and brother and their families. She made many friends along the way, from Hampton to Beaufort and in Tampa, Florida. Her last years were mainly spent with her daughters, grandchildren, and pets. She was also a part of the Widows Ministry of Praise Assembly Beaufort and attended Praise Assembly Church both in person and online.

She is also survived by her four siblings, Patricia Wright (Kendal), Theresa Neill, Ellen Gardner, and Frank “Skeeter” Gardner (Annie), as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was loved and cherished by many and will be deeply missed.
