Dorothy Gardner Kistler, 88 of Beaufort, SC, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at The Oaks on Salem Road, Beaufort.

Visitation for Dorothy will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at Anderson Funeral Home from 12-Noon until 1:30 PM. Burial will follow at Beaufort Memorial Gardens beginning at 2 PM.

Dorothy was born on April 12, 1936, in Vanceboro, NC, the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Lewis) Gardner.

Survivors include: her daughter: Catherine (Cathy) Davis of Beaufort, her sons: Clinton (Jr.) Johnson (Renee’) of Beaufort, Ronald (Ron) Johnson (Kim) of Fayetteville, NC, John Johnson (Paula) of Seabrook, Mark Johnson (Lisa) of Barnwell, and Daniel (Danny) Johnson (Stacey) of Beaufort; 15 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother: Acie Gardner of NC; and sister: Ann Alyward of NC.

Dorothy is preceded in death by: her parents, John and Bertha Gardner; husbands: Clinton A. Johnson, Gilliam Debruhl and John Kistler; brothers: Donald and Tony Gardner; sister: Irene Gardner; and granddaughter: Kelly Diane Johnson the daughter of Ronald (Ron) and Kim Johnson

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Port Royal Baptist Church 707 Pinckney Blvd. Port Royal SC 29935
