Donna Arnold, born in Passaic, New Jersey, on August 18, 1960, and a long-time resident of Beaufort, South Carolina, decided it was time to take her dedicated, compassionate, and loving nature to the cosmos on June 15, 2023. As the saying goes, "God could not be everywhere, and therefore he made mothers." In this case, heaven must have been in dire need of someone who excelled at gardening, drinking beer, and spoiling grandchildren.\n\nDonna spent her days working as a receiver at a government warehouse, where she earned the Commanding General's Coin and three length of service awards from the USMC Parris Island. She was a generous soul who made sure everything was in its proper place. It's safe to say that the afterlife just got a lot more organized! In her free time, Donna was a dedicated gardener, cultivating beautiful memories and blossoming relationships with her family and friends. She could often be found with a cold beer in hand, no doubt contemplating the complexities of life and the joys of her family.\n\nDonna is survived by her husband Tony Arnold; step-daughter Cheryl (Chad) Arnold; son Zackery (Morgan) Sobin; daughter-in-law Morgan (Zackery) Sobin; son Russell (Jaeryun) Sobin; daughter-in-law Jaeryun (Russell) Sobin; daughter Jessica (Jon) Noble; son-in-law Jon (Jessica) Nobel; daughter Mary (Matthew) Blackwell; and son-in-law Matthew (Mary) Blackwell. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Stafford, and mother, Karen Stafford. While we will all miss her, we know that she's up there transforming heaven's gardens, cracking open a celestial beer, and keeping an eye on her loved ones. In the immortal words of Erma Bombeck, "When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left and could say, 'I used everything you gave me.'"\n\nPlease join us in celebrating Donna's life by sharing your memories, stories, and photos on the memorial page. We look forward to remembering the extraordinary moments we all had with Donna. Cheers to a life well-lived!
