Dominick John Mauro, 80, husband of Josephine Passaro Mauro, of Bluffton, SC, died Thursday, October 16, 2014 in Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 10:30am in St. Peter's Catholic Church with interment to follow on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 2:00pm in Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Mauro was born on April 14, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY. He is the son of the late Charles Mauro and Mary Ryan Mauro. He was a member of the Catholic faith and served our country in the U S Army during the Korean War. He is adored and survived by his loving wife, Josephine and his children and grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans, 702 Battery Creek Road, Beaufort, SC 29902.
