Denise Marie Caesar, 70, of Saint Helena Island, SC, passed away in Charleston, SC on Thursday, July 27, 2023. She was surrounded with love by her family.\n\nDenise is survived by her husband, Mark Caesar; sisters, Victoria Chamberlain and Janelle Herriges; daughters, Monique Clark and Jennifer Slade; sons, Nathan Thorn, Andrew Just, Tristan Baugus and Shane Baugus; 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Her family meant the world to her.\n\nDenise was born in Michigan and grew up in Wisconsin. She lived in many places throughout the years and ended up in Beaufort South Carolina. She retired as an Administrative Assistant from The Technical College of the Lowcountry. She enjoyed her retirement by taking her dogs on long walks at the beach, spending time with family and traveling.\n\nDenise’s happy place was always the beach. \nCool water, warm sun, soft sand, peace. \nMay she be eternally enjoying the sand beneath her feet and the sunshine on her face!\n\nA visitation will take place at Anderson Funeral Home (611 Robert Smalls Parkway, Beaufort) on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a private burial to take place on a later date at Beaufort National Cemetery.
