Dave Wilkie was born in Wilmington, Delaware on his father’s 30 th birthday: May 24, 1951. What a\nwonderful birthday present for Ronald from his wife Priscilla. \n\nDave moved to Detroit, Michigan when he was quite young. A few years later Dave and his family moved to Kingston, New York.\n\nDave met his wife Mary at Channel Master in Ellenville, New York and they were married in 1976.\nShortly after, Dave graduated from New Paltz College with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Not long\nafter graduation, they moved to Atlanta, Georgia where Dave worked in sales. Dave eventually became\nVice President of Financial Services at Incomm. He shares a patent with the company president.\n\nDave had a lifetime love of tennis. He played ALTA doubles tennis in Atlanta well into his late sixties.\nDave enjoyed watching the grand slam matches. Dave was also very handy with tasks around the\nhouse. He was a self-taught carpenter, plumber, and electrician.\n\nDave was quite proud of his Scottish roots. His grandfather, David Wilkie, was very dear to him. His\ngrandfather was captured during WWI and was a prisoner of war. He reunited with Dave’s grandmother\nAnne McConnell, and they eventually made their way to America. Dave is also a direct descendant of\nfour passengers on the Mayflower on his mother Priscilla’s side of the family. \n\nDave is survived by his wife of 47 years, Mary Wilkie of St. Helena Island, South Carolina and two sons:\nScott Wilkie of Columbus, Georgia and Craig Wilkie of Lexington, Kentucky,\nand a sister Lin Schmidt of Lewes, Delaware.\n\nThe family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 10:00am at Anderson Funeral Home. \nGraveside funeral service will follow on Tuesday at 11:30am in Forest Lawn Cemetery beside Anderson Funeral Home.
