Cyril M Wolff Obituary (1944

Cyril Wolff, 75, husband of Jean Wolff, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Cyril Wolff was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was a 1967 graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Minor in Labor Negotiations. He started his career as an investment broker with Robert W. Baird in 1972. In 1979 he open the Appleton, WI branch office of Piper, Jaffray & Co., retiring from Piper in 2003. He was a 23-year veteran of the U. S. Navy Reserve and a Vietnam veteran. He served on the board of Good Shepherd Nursing Home, Seymour, WI, and the Appleton, WI, chapter of the March of Dimes. He served on the financial committee of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Appleton, WI. He also served on the board here at Brays Island for nine years. Cyril's love for Brays ran deep. At various times, he was Committee Chair of the Finance Committee, House Committee, Shooting Sports Committee, Hunt Committee and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for two years. He was an avid outdoors man and could often be found in the hunt woods, participating in numerous fishing tournaments, or walking around the Borrowed Pit with Bruce for a Nature Walk. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Jean, their daughter, Sarah and her husband Matthew Stowell, his two brothers, Gerald Wolff (Elizabeth), James Wolff (Mary Ann), and various nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church in Beaufort, S.C. on Friday January 17th. Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m. with the service to follow starting at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to St. Peter's Catholic School located at 70 Ladys Island Drive, Beaufort, S.C. 29907. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later time here on Brays Island Plantation.
