Christine Taggart, 85 of Beaufort, SC, passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 in Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 11:00am at Sea Island Presbyterian Church on Lady’s Island, SC Christine was born on March 31, 1938, in Glasgow, UK, the daughter of the late Alexander and Agnes (Connell) Duncan. She graduated from the University of Glasgow UK.She also worked for Rolls Royce as a computer programmer.She married and moved to the USA in the early 60s .She also graduated University of South Carolina with double masters degree.She worked for Laurel Bay School for 26 years.Then became the Director of,Born to Read program for 12 years.Which promotes reading to your children through infancy.She was a strong advocate for advancing education and also volunteered at Beaufort Memorial Hospital as a patient advocate. She is survived by son Ian Taggart,Stepdaughter Hollye Ballard,Grandson Randall Taggart Granddaughter Amber Ray and her 3 children Leilani,Lalauih and Gabriel
