Born in Grand Rapids, MI to Charles and Barbara (Fairchild) Dalvini. Chuck spent his childhood in Grand Rapids, was a 1953 graduate of Ottawa Hills High School and received a business degree from Michigan State University. He was accepted to Naval Officers' Candidate School and was commissioned in 1957 and served three years on a destroyer in the Atlantic.\nUpon discharge from the US Navy, he joined the Travelers Insurance Company and retired as a Vice-President after 32 years. In 1992 he and his wife of 63 years Gloria Marentette Dalvini retired to Beaufort, SC where he was co-owner of Gloria Dalvini Watercolors, Chairman of the Board of Main Street Beaufort, Chairman of the Board for the YMCA, Trustee and Governor of Holy Trinity Classical Christian School and a committed and active member of St. Helena's Anglican Church.\nHis summers were spent at the family cottage in Holland, Michigan, sailing, golfing, biking, kayaking and spending time with family and lifelong friends.\nCharles is survived by his wife Gloria Marentette Dalvini, son Chip (Ginger) Dalvini, daughter Megan (Ryle) Kiser, grandchildren Caleb, Jordyn, Bryson Kiser and Jamie and Erin Dalvini and three great-grandchildren Cedar and Daphne Richardson and Kolton Kiser.
