Captain John G. Rhoden, United States Marine Corps retired, 60, husband of Teresa Allan-Rhoden, died on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Family will receive friends Monday, July 2, 2018 from 10-11:30 AM at Anderson Funeral Home. \n\nGraveside services will be at 12 noon on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors. Food will be served at the VFW, 37 Castle Rock RD after the service. John was born September 14, 1957 in Scotland, NC to John Edward Rhoden, Jr. and the late Shirley Mae (Thompson) Rhoden. He retired after serving 21 years in the United States Marine Corps. John was active with CAPA. He created the role of the "Troll" for the ghost tours. He put his heart and soul into it. John was a charter member of The LowCountry Shaggers and The Beaufort Shag Club. He loved life, family and his Harley's. Survivors include his wife; two sons: Joshua Rhoden (Meredith) and Jason Folding (Donna); step-son Jeremy Allan; daughter: Leslie Dykeman (Billy) and step-daughter, Tisha Allan Burt (Dax); two brothers: Edward (Eva) and Phillips (Alicia) Rhoden; five grandchildren; three step grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to CAPA.
