Alxander Blake Clifton Obituary (1986

Alxander Blake Clifton, age 36, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on October 2, 2022, from a paramotoring accident. Blake was born on March 3, 1986, in Snellville, GA. He attended Battery Creek High School in Beaufort, South Carolina where he was raised by his aunt, Teresa Wasko (Mama). After graduation, he enlisted in the Air Force and served his country for 4 years as a KC-135 Boom Operator (in-flight refueling specialist). He received multiple decorations during his service period including: Air Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Combat Readiness Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon and Air Force Training Ribbon. After his honorable separation from the Air Force in 2008, Blake began pursuing a career with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). After 9 years of experience in the FAA, he landed in Chicago, Illinois at one of the most prestigious air traffic control towers, Chicago O'Hare (ORD). After his 5-year stint in Chicago, Blake relocated to Henderson, Nevada to care for his mother Christine Morgan and to learn a new air traffic control tower, Las Vegas (LAS). Blake was referred to as a "Renaissance Man" by his colleagues at LAS tower. A renaissance man is a person with many talents or areas of knowledge, in which Blake exhibited at his core. He was a veteran, pilot, air traffic controller, cigar aficionado, kite surfer, skydiver, marathoner, paramotor pilot and so many other things. Blake loved spending time with his significant other Brittney and their dog Brodie, as well as his many friends and extended family. He spent much of his time traveling and giving back to the community, in between cigars. Blake is survived by his significant other Brittney Smith, mother Christine Morgan, siblings Jeffery Rosenberger, Maegan Argetsinger, Brittany Robertson, Kaiden Wasko, aunts Lynne Ricord & Teresa Wasko and many loving extended family members and friends. There will be a celebration of life at Anderson Funeral Home in Beaufort, South Carolina on October 28th, 2022. Anderson Funeral Home will receive guests starting at 11:00 A.M., with the Celebration of Life starting at 11:30 A.M. This will be followed by a military honored service at the Beaufort National Cemetery at 1 P.M. where friends and family can honor Blake's life.
