Albert"AC" "Shorty" Cain Obituary (2018)

Albert "AC" "Shorty" Charles Cain, 88, of Beaufort, SC, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 in Veterans Victory House in Walterboro, SC. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 5-7pm at Anderson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11:00 am in Carl Anderson Memorial Chapel with interment in Beaufort National Cemetery with military honors. Mr. Cain was born on November 7, 1929 in Fitzgerald, GA. He is the son of Charles Cain and Leola Hardwick Cain. He served our country in the U. S. Army during Korea and received a Purple Heart. Mr. Cain was an avid bowler and fisherman, known by his friends as "The Cobia King". He was preceded in death by his wife Etta Cain, and is survived by his two daughters, Lorie Hendricks and Tammy Crooks; seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. In Lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to Veterans Victory House, 2461 Sidney Road, Walterboro, SC 29488.
