Adelheid A Kook Obituary (1935

Adelheid A. Kook, 77, of St. Helena Island, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 17, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at Holy Cross Catholic Mission, 83 Seaside Road, St. Helena Island. Interment will follow in Beaufort National Cemetery. Mrs. Kook was born January 11, 1935 in Haarlem, Holland, daughter of the late Herman and Kate Bredeck Bruns. She was an assistant educator in the Beaufort County School district for many years. Adelheid was a volunteer for Carolina Hospice Care through Bits and Pieces her Quilt Guild. She was a Master Gardner for Clemson Extension where she was thrilled to do a scientific study of the tomato plant. She is survived by her children: Stephen C. Kook, Karen Jaggi, Pascha Wallin and Richard Kook and her grandchildren: Catherine Jaggi, Elizabeth Jaggi, Matthew Jaggi, Madeline Wallin, Mitchell Wallin, Benjamin Wallin, Nicholas Kook, Reeve Kook and honorary grandchild Forrest Penrod. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Abigail Wallin. Heidi has moved on to a greener meadow filled with wild flowers. She had a deep love for people, everyone who met her felt drawn to her.
